What if the past could be changed such that MAhatma Gandhi would have survived his assassination? This is the question that the protagonist, an Indian from Y3300 who returns to the present day asks - and who finds love with Reena, a blind farmer's daughter. In addition, what would be the scenario in a future where Gandhi survives his murder and Reena is somewhere or someone else by virtue of this change?
